Played in a charity softball game against Gov. Ed King's team. The game was played in the Boston Common and Bobby went 6 for 6 with 5 home runs and a triple.

Met with Terry Fox on his cancer Marathon Of Hope run through Parry Sound. They met at the Voyageur Restaurant on Highway 69. Doug Sr. gave Terry Fox his son's Canada Cup jersey.

Participated in the 11th annual Joe Lazaro Celebrity Golf Tournament held at the Marlboro Country Club in Bennettsville, South Carolina.

Played in the Masters Of Hockey game held at the Boston Gardens. The game was between a team of retired Boston Bruins and a squad of former NHL stars. The game ended in a 5-5 tie.

Robin Young and Bobby Orr visited beleaguered ice-locked fishermen in Quebec, Labrador on a special mission for a Special that aired on Boston's Channel 7. Robin produced and hosted "People Who Make a Difference." This was Orr's first interview after retiring from his life on the ice.
